Think before you fall for the Hype

Feb 11, 2020. Samsung launched Galaxy S20 5g. Today's date is July 4, 2022. Hence, the phone was launched 2years and 5months back.  A manufacturer will never compromise on profits. FOR EXAMPLE-   To manufacture a phone the cost is - Camera - 10rs Build quality - 10rs Processor - 20rs Ram and board - 20rs Screen -10rs OS- 5rs Network - 5rs Total - 80 rs Profit - 20 rs Selling price - 100rs. Now for 5g devices, manufacturers will have to spend more money which is obvious as they will invest , install towers, etc. They will have to earn cost of the new network from the clients. Now they cannot compromise on revenue, so where will they cut the cost from? Cost-cutting must be done from somewhere or else the price of a device with 5g will go up.  Profit will remain the same as 20 rs Network cost will be more, which can be 10rs as they have invested in a new network. Now they will have to do some cost-cutting in camera or screen or processor or build quality or whatever is suita...

Asking for a suggestion.

Friend : Hey I need a help buddy, bhai ek phone suggest kar de bhai, maine last 4 din me sab website chat dala,. Abeee itna phones hai mereko samaj nehi aaraha kiya lu, bhai bata de bhai. Me : I have a friend, recently he purchased a phone, wo bata raha tha bada mast phone hai aur sasta bhi hai, TV me ad bhi deta hai bhai, lele bhai mast phone hai, xomi pro max super max. Mast phone hai bhai lele. Friend : Sacchi mast hai kiya ? Chal mai na ek baar reviews dekhta hai, fir uskohi order karte hai. Tere upar mera puuraaa bharosa hai. Thanks bhai. 6 months later Friend : Abe bhai kya phone kharidwa diya bhai, Google me sab bol raha tha mast phone hai but yaar mera pura kaat gaya, 2 movie dekhte hai battery khatam hojata hai bhai, upar se 1000rs ka power bank lena pargaya mereko. A phone for my dad

 Me: Hey dad I was planning to get a new phone for you. Which one would you like to go for ? Dad: Get me anything. Now here is the confusion, what should I get for my dad. Okay lets  decide  what will he be doing with the phone: 1. He will watch videos 2. He will use google chrome 3. He will use social media / video calls 4. Ofcourse phone calls and banking applications 5. He will not play games (so getting a powerful processor is pointless) Well okay, so dad is not really tech savvy that means he will open 100 of tabs in google chrome, he will never clean the ram. So I can't get an old processor for him. But the new processor will be to0 much, so it should be something in between.
